Honoring the Dead

Friday, Nov. 1 from 5:30 pm -- 6:30 pm

Broad Bay invites community members to honor deceased loved ones on Friday evening November 1 with the lighting of luminaries outside the church from 5:30—7:00. The bell will toll at 7 pm. Death is a fact of life and grief touches everyone. The Waldoboro Community is invited to honor loved ones by gathering outside the Broad Bay Church as the sky darkens, to gaze at flickering lights and remember.

Whether we are grieving the death of a parent who died decades ago, a baby who died in infancy, or one who died last week, the pain and the love are worthy of attention and honor. In this season of shortening days, the Broad Bay Church invites the community to pause, observe flickering candles, and remember those whose lives have touched us.

Sunday Worship

Worship is at the heart of our life together.  We come together to share joys and concerns, to sing, and to listen to the ancient texts of our faith. While most services are led by Rev. Nancy Duncan, many others participate in leading worship and sharing the stories of our lives and faith. Jesus’s command to love one another is reflected in our efforts to reach out to folks outside of our faith community, including folks of other faiths or no faith. Everyone is welcome!

Broad Bay will continue to offer hybrid worship and you may continue to join us via Skype from any place where there is phone or video access.

Please contact us for information on how you can join us.

We worship at 10 am on Sunday Mornings
