Honoring Our Dead

Death is a fact of life and grief touches everyone. Broad Bay Congregational United Church of Christ invites community members to remember their deceased loved ones on Sunday, Nov. 1 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. with the lighting of luminaries outside the church. Each luminary will display the name of one who has died. The church bell will toll at 6 p.m.

The Waldoboro community is invited to gather outside the Broad Bay Church as the sky darkens, to gaze at flickering lights and remember.

Whether we are grieving the death of a parent who died decades ago, a baby who died in infancy, or one who died last week, the pain and the love are worthy of attention and honor. In this season of shortening days, Broad Bay Church invites people of all faiths to pause and remember those whose lives have touched us.
